- Portable Steam Cleaners for Steam Mopping Floors
Monday, April 11, 2011
Portable steam cleaners are some of the most powerful tools for cleaning floors. These machines clean all types of floors including vinyl, concrete, tile, granite, sealed hardwood, and laminate. These machines are far more powerful than ordinary methods of cleaning, such as mopping with soap or using vinegar, bleach, or similar substances for cleaning.
Portable steam cleaners use super hot steam for cleaning. Daimer®’s portable steam cleaners attain temperatures as stains spots, and makes their removal easier. Second, machines with Daimer®’s ATIS® technology can help remove more than 99 percent of disease causing germs and bacteria. This technology helps kill mold, germs, and neutralizes begbugs, fungal spores, and other pests. Machines without this feature cannot eliminate germs and bacteria. Look for machines in Daimer®’s KleenJet® series, such as the KleenJet® 500VP, with ATIS® anti-bacterial technology.
Some of the more elaborate commercial steam cleaning machines may be equipped with wet and dry vacuum. Dry vacuuming eliminates the need for a separate vacuum cleaner, while wet vacuuming helps extract moisture from the floor during the steam cleaning process. Some of the other advantages include HEPA filters. A machine fitted with a HEPA filter extracts tiny particles of dust, pollen, fungal spores, dust mites, and even larger pests, such as bedbugs, and prevents them from being recirculated into the environment during vacuuming.
These portable steam cleaners should ideally have an assortment of detailing brushes. For steam mopping floors, a mop attachment with towel clips is recommended. You will need brushes in different shapes and sizes for covering all parts of the floor, including corners. A steel wool pad is necessary for removing tough stains, mineral stains, and dirt from hard surfaces.
